Running FastReport.Mono on Mac OS X

2012-07-25

We often get questions about running FastReport.Mono on Mac OS X - people ask how to run Microsoft (exe) files on Apple devices. The answer lies in the product name - you should install Mono Framework on your device before running the report generator. Here is URL for MonoFramework:
https://download.mono-project.com/arch...in.x86.dmg

After successfull installation you may run demo by typing following command in the terminal window:

$ mono Demo.exe

Of course, before running that command you should change a current directory to the directory with the demo version.

The reason is that you are not run an executable Windows file, but you have to run the NET virtual machine which executes the report generator.

By the way, you may want to look at the fresh version of FastReport.Mono - we have fixed several bugs and issues:https://www.fast-report.com/pbc_downlo...o_demo.zip
